BEACHES
Can you reach the coves of Les Rotes by car?
Yes you can, but it is an area with a lot of vehicles and it can be difficult to drive and park. We advise you to use the local bus "Denibus", specifically, Les Rotes bus line. Check here the timetables and stops.
In high season (from 17 June to 17 September) the end of Les Rotes blocks vehicles with a barrier. For this reason, has been enabled a free little train, which will take you there. It takes next to the public parking located on Les Rotes road, past the Quinto Pino restaurant.
Which beach can I go with the dog?
In bathing season, (from 1 June to 31 October) dogs are not allowed on beaches. The only space where dogs are allowed is on the breakwater (little dam) close to "Escollera Norte".

Is it necessary to book the visit to the Cova Tallada?
It depends when you would like to visit it. Is necessary in these dates:
- From 15th June to 15th October inclusive.
- From 23rd March to 8th April inclusive.
- From 28th April to 5th May inclusive.
Bookings may ONLY be made up to ten days in advance.
Reservation required for both land (hiking) and sea access. The reservation is free and it done electronically through the "Parques Naturales de la Generalitat Valenciana" website. Click here for more information about how do the reservation.
You can also visit the cave hiring active tourism activities like kayak, snorkel, caving and hiking. For that, you have to contract with one of the companies expressly authorized to do so. Click here for more information about companies authorized to visit the cove.
GUIDED TOURS
Are there guided tours in Dénia?
Yes, there are cultural and free guided tours by the Dénia City Council. As well as the possibility of hiring guided tours with several companies.
THE DÉNIA CITY COUNCIL through the Archaeology and Museums Area offers guided tours thoughout the year to various archaeological sites: "Cova Catxupa (cave art sanctuary)" and Iberian archeologycal site of Alt de Benimaquia. What can you visit in Dénia if you have little time or 24 hours?
We suggest you to visit the section VISIT DÉNIA IN ONE DAY, You will find several proposals depending on the season in wich you visit the city. On Spring and summer or on autumn and winter.

What activities can be done in Denia with children?

STREET MARKET
When is the street market?
The street market takes place on Monday morning from 8:00 to 13:00h in the parking of Torrecremada, nexto to the Germans Maristes street. Click here for more information about markets in and around Dénia.
FISH MARKET
Can you access the fish auction at the port?
Access to the auction is not allowed to the public in general, its access is allowed to professionals in the catering and food sector.
However, you can hire a guided tour with the company SERCULTUR, which is allowed access to the auction and its inside.
In the same building, there is an area for sale to the public of fresh fish and seafood just arrived in port. This area operates from monday to friday and its timetable is different according to the time of year. Click here for more information.
FISHING IN DÉNIA
Where can you fish in Dénia?
Fishing is allowed on all beaches except Punta del Raset beach, the area of the Natural Reserve of Cabo de San Antonio and in the ports.
To fish you need the fishing license.
From June 1st to October 1st fishing is only allowed from 21H to 7H. The rest of the year the hours are free.
Where can I apply for a fishing license?
The application can be processed in the PROP office of the Dénia City Council. You will be issued a document to make the payment of the fee.
You will receive the license by email.
